International multi-annual projects

• project Chance e.V. in Kenia together with RC Reims-en-Champagne
• partnership with French Rotary Club Reims-en-Champagne (2010: 30 years)
• Personal computer, German literature and school books for schools and universities in the Ukraine, medical equipment for hospitals (since 1998, one shipment every two years, the last one: two tons of books)
• contribution to the district 1930 scholarships for Ukrainian students at Southwest German universities (financed, among other sources, by bi-annual autumn hiking tours, organized by the club)
• assistance for one year-pupils’ and students' exchange
  
• member of the Rotary Action Group for Population Growth and development (RFPD)
• supporter of the MineEx organization to ban landmines and assist victims
• supporter of the END POLIO NOW Initiative of Rotary International
  

One-time projects include GSE hosting an inbound team (1999 and 2009), supporting an outbound team (2008) and a 13 Nations’ Youth Camp (2002, 14 days). Its member Hubert Knapp was Team Leader for the outbound team to North East India in February 2010.
